Making your computer faster(windows)

So your computer is suddenly lagging on you. Its taking time to start applications, browse the internet, your games are lagging etc...Well there are a couple of really simple steps you can take to avoid these issues.
Think of your computer like a human brain working to solve mathematical problems. The more problems you try to solve simultaneously the more time it will take to solve each of them. You want to solve each problem individually to get best results. If you're thinking of other irrelevant things while solving problems, then it will take you even more time. You want to concentrate on one single problem if you want efficiency. The same applies for computers.
You need to close all unnecessary programs and applications if you want the best out of your computer. You may have closed all Windows and browsers, but there are still programs which run in the background slowing down your PC. The direct way to close these would be to press CTRL+ALT+DEL and then goto processes and end them. You can end processes like updates, Skype, Yahoo messenger, Power ISO etc. But this is a complicated way of doing it. You wouldn't want to accidentally end a system process and force your computer to restart or even loose memory, would you?

Here's how to work with processes. Open task manager, goto processes tab, select show processes for all users(win 7). Now look at the description of each process. Now end processes which aren't system files or have anything to do with your laptop drivers or sound drivers or video drivers. The processes you can end can be softwares like Skype and Yahoo messenger which are always ON. This will clear memory and make your computer more efficient. In the next post i will explain how you can skip ending these processes and just avoid them from starting up every time you start your computer up.
